chemical reactions

using my senses

i piece together

the chemical reaction

of love

it feels warm

it tastes sweet

it smells light

it looks beautiful

and it sounds like a song

i’m so disorganized

i know i put the last piece

somewhere

but i can’t find it

this chemical reaction

is like an equation to solve

how much energy

should i really put into it?

is it random chance?

should i stop putting

circle blocks

into square holes?

sometimes my senses fail me

and i’m left to analyze

and calculate

the law of conservation of mass

these chemical reactions

happen all the time

so what makes them so special?
